Hi everyone, just wanted to give you an update on MyConsign consignment sales. Unfortunately the location we have held these sales has decided mid-stream to change their terms of use. They will no longer will allow our sales to continue past 5:00 p.m. on critical days (especially Saturday). Since this does not allow our working shoppers any time to visit our sales on such a crucial sale day we are searching for a new place to hold our sales. As soon as we lock a place down, we WILL announce it and get the next sale up and running.
We have been looking for other locations and thought we should give our consignors and shoppers the opportunity to help us while earning something beneficial to them!!! If anyone knows of a place that is large enough to hold our sales, please email us at myconsign@gmail.com with the information. If your referral is the one selected to hold our sales, MyConsign will give you a choice of either 100% commission on the items you bring to the next sale OR $100.00 in a MyConsign gift certificate to use at any of our MyConsign sales.
Thank you for bearing with us during this trying time! We appreciate ALL of our consignors and shoppers, and we remain committed to putting your needs first and foremost. In the meantime, keep in mind you will still be able to go to myconsignmentmanager and enter all of your items you wish to inventory for our next sale. Once we have our location, you will then only need to transfer those items to our sale.
Thank you all for your patience and understand!
Sincerely
MyConsign

Hang on for a GREAT sale!!!
Well since our last blog, we are OVER 7,000 items -- WOW! Good job consignors. I know of a few lighter and roomier homes in the Metroplex!
We are down to the wire -- sale locks down on March 31st at 11:59 p.m. As of today, we are still getting consignors registering for the sale, so just want you late comers to remember to get your items in FIRST, then you can still print once the sale locks down.
There is still time to sign up for a volunteer shift -- this ONE 4 hr. shift will get you entrance to the presale, which means you get to be one of the FIRST shoppers at the sale before we open it up to the public.
We only have a few (3 or 4) slots open for scheduled check-in. If you have small children or pregnant and are needing help bringing your items in, sign up and watch us take care of you!
We hope you are as excited about this sale as we are. We are doing what we can to place advertisement out on the market about our sale, but word of mouth seems to spread faster for us, so keep spreading the word. You can go to our web page and download a flyer to pass along to anyone you think would LOVE to hear about this sale.
Thank you all for doing such a great job getting your items entered and all the hard work prepping them -- we do appreciate you being an integral part of our team!

Good Job Consignors!!!!!
I've taken a look at the inventory for this sale. WOW -- we have over 2,300 items thus far and still over 25 consignors that have not entered in their items yet, so that number is just going to grow and grow. We already have a TON of clothing from newborn-adults (including maternity), a tremendous amount of toys, as well as over 300 VHS/DVDs and books, some much needed baby equipment and a great selection of room decor!!!!!
A majority of the consignors have down pat how these sale works. I noticed that a lot of you have marked your items for 1/2 price. Very smart, consignors! You want to be able to hit the market for full price day AND get a second chance at those who shop only the 1/2 off price day. Some shoppers will still purchase items at full price during 1/2 off day, but some only buy items that are marked for 1/2 off. If you think about it, these shoppers are no different than you and I -- we ALL want a good deal. There were a few of you who I did not see opting for 1/2 off, BUT, if you items are already priced LOW (under $5.00), you are OKAY, as your items are already priced to sell at VERY good deals!
Tips to help you do well in the sale:

Tips to help you do well in the sale:
- Check all your clothing for stains, tears, broken zippers or snaps, piling and batteries that WORK. Always ask yourself this question: "Would I pay money for this item?" THEN answer it honestly!
- Make sure if you want your item 1/2 off price or donated, that it what your tag says. (If you come in during pick-up and then decide to donate, we cannot give you a tax receipt for those items, as those items will not show in our "system" as being donated.)
- If you are trying to sell a high ticket item - put the "original" cost in the description line, so the shopper can see just what a GOOD deal they are getting (items costing $20.00 or more -- i.e., if an item originally cost $400.00 and your are selling it for $100.00 -- THAT'S A GOOD DEAL).
- If anyone needs ANY help, please do not hesitate to contact us at myconsign@gmail.com. That is our job, so put us to work for you. Please don't allow yourself to get frustrated for more than 5 minutes trying to get your task accomplished -- we are ALWAYS here for you!
- If you have not already done so, print out one our fliers (you can find it on our Home Page w/instructions) and post them anywhere you can. The more the word gets out, the more people will find out about our sale. We are advertising in 5 different areas, but as you know, our population is HUGE and we can't reach everyone. Word of mouth, by far, has always been our BEST and most PRODUCTIVE advertisement!!!!

Just 3 more weeks to go
If you all are like me, I've been busy decluttering my house, bagging & tagging, ironing, hanging and pinning. Keep in mind that we do take room decor, small furniture and antiques!!! At our last sale, room decor was pretty much picked over by the end of the first day.
If you know of anyone who would be interested in this sale, you can go to our website and download our flyer. Word of mouth is the BEST advertisement!!
Looking at the inventory, this will be a GREAT place to pick up some really good stuff. We have a ton of toys and a great selection of clothing in all sizes from infants to adults. I have noticed that there will be prom and evening dresses at this sale!!!
Thanks to all of those who have been working hard getting ready for the sale -- if we all spread the word, maybe, just maybe, we won't have anything left to pick up!!
Let us know if there is anything we can do for you -- that is our job and we LOVE doing it!

Welcome Tots2Teens
We would like to welcome Tots2Teens to The Ultimate Sale! We are more than happy to do whatever we can to make this transition go as smoothly as possible. Don't panic! If you were already using the bar coding system, much of the process will be as simple as registering for our sale and transferring your items over with a click of a couple of buttons. You should still be able to use your Tots2Teens consignor number. Any items that do not have the bar coding system can still be brought in to sell, but you must give us prior notice on the approximate number of items you will be bringing in, as we will have to hand enter those items into our system!! Please visit our "Home Page" for further instructions.
We here at MyConsign would also like everyone to take a moment out of their hectic and busy lives to say a little prayer for Rosie. We know she was involved in a serious car accident and would appreciate your support and prayers for a speedy and full recovery!

Time to Get Busy
The month of February is coming to an end. Time to start getting your items ready! Go through every nook and cranny in your house. We have managed to pull out close to 300 items to put in this sale -- it is always amazing what we amass throughout the years, but the decluttering process can be so invigorating.
This year all of our donated items will go to a great cause: Plano Children Medical Clinic which serves the needs of many children and families in our city. Each Consignor who makes a donation can request a tax receipt for their tax records -- make sure you print out a list of the items donated at the end of the sale using the software program provided!
See you all soon!

New Rule for Consignors
We have invoked a new rule from this point on at MyConsign. We will no longer be able to take in or sell car seats. While some of you will be very disappointed in this, it is for the safety of the most precious gift we get in life, our children. Since we cannot guarantee any shopper 100% that a car seat has NEVER been involved in even a minor accident, then we feel we should not put your child at risk for the sake of making a profit. After reading our concerns, hopefully you, too, will agree that it is just not worth the risk:
- The new owner does not know the full history of the car seat. This is critical because this could mean life or death of a child.
- The seller may think that a very minor fender bender wasn't a big deal and really wasn't an accident. However, the reality of it is that ANY car seat that took took crash forces, even MINOR, which could cause a defect in the car seat and cause a complete failure in another accident (severe or non severe).
- Some (remember it only takes one) may just flat out lie on any waiver just to make a buck. It is unfortunate, but a very possible occurrence in the world we live in today.
Thanks for your understanding!
